DescriptionCaespitose; leaves oblong-lanceolate, with forked or branched hairs, ciliate with long, simple hairs; flowering stem leafless, pubescent with long, soft, simple or forked hairs; petals yellow or pale yellow; silicles ovate to oblong-ovate, glabrous.
EcologyStony places in the mountains and on tundra to at least 1,800 meters. Described from the European Alps.

Highly variable; hybridizes with several other species, such as D. macrocarpa, D. microcarpa, and D. pilosa.
