DescriptionGlandular-pubescent, basal leaves obovate with cuneate base, 3-5-toothed to shallowly lobed; cauline leaves several; pedicels short; calyx lobes ovate-triangular; petals white, about twice as long as calyx lobes; ovary inferior.
EcologyRock crevices, sandy places. S. adscendens described from the Pyrenees, Monte Baldo (northern Italy), and “Tauro Rastadiensi” (Baden); subsp. oregonensis from the Rocky Mountains.
