DescriptionShrub with erect branches; leaves cordate, 3-5-lobed, the lobes crenate-serrate, glandular below; racemes ascending or spreading; ovary more or less glandular, with sessile glands; calyx lobes ascending, white-pubescent; petals white; berry subglobose, black, more or less glaucous, glandular to nearly glabrous, bitter but edible.
EcologyMoist woods, along streams. Described from lat. 67° in Alberta.
