DescriptionStem simple or branched, short-pubescent especially above, with long, filiform runners at base (often broken off in herbarium specimens), ending with bud; leaves opposite below, alternate above, sessile, linear-lanceolate, entire in margin, glabrous or slightly pubescent above; flowers small, drooping when young; petals pink or whitish; pod short-pubescent, especially along margins; seeds papillate.
EcologyWet places, along rivers. Described from Europe.
