DescriptionStem simple, mostly single, from thick, yellow taproot, with brown remains of leaf bases at base, lanate above; basal leaves numerous, linear-lanceolate, pinnately parted into many narrow, remote, pinnate to crenate-serrate segments; inflorescence dense, oblong, white-woolly; lower bracts longer than flowers; calyx with triangular, acute teeth; corolla rose-colored, glabrous, with straight tube and straight galea, lacking teeth; lower lip about as long as the upper, 3-lobed, glabrous in margin; 2 filaments pubescent; capsule ovate with acute beak.
EcologyDry, stony tundra; in the mountains to over 1,700 meters. Described from Green- land.
