DescriptionPlant with stout caudex, brown-woolly at crown; leaves fleshy or subcoriaceous, lanceolate to lance-ovate, tapering into broad petiole; lower flowers remote; bracts broadly ovate, with rounded keel; sepals rounded-elliptic, truncate, scarcely keeled; capsule circumscissile near base; seeds 2—4 in capsule.
EcologySalt or alkaline soil. Described from the Platte River.
