DescriptionStems from short rhizome, erect, pilose with appressed hairs, branched above; leaves linear, entire, sessile, sparsely pubescent above, pubescent beneath, hispidu- lous-ciliate; heads small, several; involucral bracts in 2 series of equal length, acute, glabrous, scabrous in margin, the inner white at base; ray flowers white to pale lilac; pappus white.
EcologyAlkaline soil. Total range uncertain. Described from northwest North America.
