DescriptionAnnual, with taproot; stem simple or branched; leaves linear, entire, glabrous, more or less ciliate at base, heads mostly several; involucre campanulate, with uni- form, ciliate bracts in 2 series; marginal flowers rayless, shorter than styles; pappus surpassing corollas.
EcologySaline soil. Described from the banks of the Saskatchewan River.
