DescriptionStem tall, scabrous, slender, simple or branched above, with gradually reduced leaves; leaves gray-green, opposite, the upper alternate, lanceolate to rhombic- ovate, scabrous, serrate to nearly entire; involucral bracts appressed, in several series, oblong; ligules yellow; disk flowers with dark-purple lobes.
EcologyAn occasionally introduced weed.
