DescriptionStem branching above from long rootstock; leaves lanceolate, pectinate-pinnatifid, serrulately lobed, sessile, pubescent and often with fine, glandular dots above; heads many, in corymbiform panicles; involucral bracts broadly lanceolate, green in cen- ter, with light- to dark-brown, hyaline margin, lanate in apex; ligule white, 3-toothed in apex, glandular.
EcologyMeadows, woods, to at least 600 meters. Highly variable. Described from cul- tivated specimens.
