DescriptionStrongly scented; stems tough, angled, reddish, from stoloniferous rhizome; leaves dark green, glandular-dotted, pinnate, with deeply pinnatifid leaflets, the ultimate segments lanceolate, acute, sharply toothed, the uppermost leaves sessile, much reduced; heads numerous, discoid; outer involucral bracts ovate-lanceolate, with scarious margin, the inner narrower; flowers golden yellow; pappus a short crown.
EcologyWaste places; an introduced weed. Native in Eurasia, introduced in America. Described from Europe.
