DescriptionStems several, from woody caudex; leaves small, mostly cauline, tomentose be- neath; the lower 2-5 cm long, bipinnatifid, the ultimate segments often toothed; upper leaves reduced, the uppermost linear; involucral bracts glabrous or nearly so; marginal flowers pistillate, disk flowers bisexual; receptacle glabrous.
EcologyRocky slopes. Described from the Rocky Mountains.
