DescriptionStem decumbent below, usually branched and with numerous scalelike bracts above, from branched caudex with rosettes of leaves at ends of branches; leaves sinuate-toothed to deeply pinnatifid, glabrous or with simple hairs; flowers yellow, the outer with reddish streaks beneath; involucral bracts linear-lanceolate, acute; achenes beakless, with pappus a single row of feathery hairs.
EcologyWaste places; an introduced weed. Described from Europe.
