DescriptionPlant tall, coarse, nearly glabrous, leafy; leaves irregularly pinnatifid, coarsely toothed, the upper sessile and auriculate; heads in dense, compound panicle; flowers bluish, creamy, or sometimes yellow; achenes beakless or essentially so; pappus sordid to tawny.
