DescriptionGlabrous or nearly so; leaves linear to lanceolate, entire to toothed or laciniate; heads single; involucral bracts imbricate, in most cases sharply pointed; flowers yellow, sometimes drying pinkish; achenes with beak not more than half the length of the body.
EcologyMeadows. Described from the banks of the Missouri. Extremely variable.
